The Atelier Rose Book Club is an intimate, thoughtful reading community capped at ten participants (one for every meeting in 2026). We meet monthly from January to December (no meeting in August, our first meeting is only to get to know each other), reading one book per month (max. 375 pages). Each member submits three book suggestions via email to atelierrose.paris@gmail.com before January 25, and together we vote on our selections for the year. 

We meet on one Saturday of every month from 5-7 pm (except for our first meeting on January 31, when we will exceptionally meet from 5:30-7:30 pm, and June’s meeting will move to Sunday, July 5 — see the complete date list below) at Atelier Rose in Paris 20e. Great chat and excellent company guaranteed!

Open to anyone who loves to read (not only our Atelier participants), the book club is €13 per month (recurring payments for 12 months) or €125 upfront for the full year (20% savings) to help cover admin time, space use, and refreshments.

The month when your book pick is being read and discussed, we ask that you bring two starter questions/prompts to get the conversation rolling and a little treat to share with the group in addition to the tea, coffee, and the usual snacks at the atelier. :)

*Please note: Bezos owns Goodreads so we shall boycott and instead use woman-owned website The StoryGraph to vote on book picks and organize/review/comment on titles. All members can sign up for an account at thestorygraph.com (completely free), then please email atelierrose.paris@gmail.com with your username and you will be sent an invitation to join the Atelier’s group on the platform.

A NOTE ON BOOK SUGGESTIONS:

Please be mindful and considerate when selecting your book suggestions, remembering that you are contributing to a safe, trauma-informed space. No topics are strictly off-limits, but if you are aware that a title contains major triggering content, please let the group know in advance. Members are always welcome to opt out of particularly difficult reads, and this choice will be respected without question. 

Atelier Rose is a literary space with a focus on craft, depth, and artistic integrity. We prioritize literary fiction, non-fiction, and poetry, but other genres, mediums (scripts, for example) or more commercially-oriented titles are certainly welcome, but will be evaluated collectively through the voting process. We simply ask that you submit titles thoughtfully, with a spirit of curiosity, generosity, and respect for the group’s shared commitment to meaningful reading, exemplary and interesting writing, and open-minded discussion.
