10:30 AM- 4:30 PM, w/ one-hour lunch break

In person @ Atelier Rose, Paris 20e (metro Alexandre Dumas)

* Maximum 10 participants *

This two-day masterclass brings together two remarkable artists working at the height of today’s music world. Together they will guide participants through a playful, exploratory approach to songwriting, performance, and recording—experimenting with unconventional sounds, developing song ideas, and building confidence as performers. Through guided exercises, collaborative experimentation, and performance coaching, we’ll work on shaping songs, discovering new sonic textures, and building confidence in live performance.

Participants will bring a song seed to develop, a few unexpected objects to explore sound creation, and one song they feel comfortable performing. The weekend will conclude with participant performances and feedback from the instructors in an intimate workshop setting.

Rett Madison

Originally from West Virginia, Rett Madison is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, CA. She has been featured in publications like Billboard, American Songwriter, and Rolling Stone, where her music was described as “simultaneously brazen and vulnerable,” giving her a place “in the new school of acclaim-worthy troubadours.” She has sung backing vocals for artists such as Lorde and Kate Nash and served as opener for artists such as Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Lake Street Dive, Jewel, Elle King, The Fray, Grace Potter, Hiss Golden Messenger, The Mountain Goats, Medium Build, St. Paul and The Broken Bones, Shawn Colvin, Theo Katzman, Trousdale, Fitz and the Tantrums, and more.

Rett Madison has released two studio albums (“Pin-Up Daddy” and “One for Jackie”) released under Warner Records and is currently writing and recording her third studio album produced by Tyler Chester. In support of her album “One for Jackie”, Madison made her television debut performing her single “Flea Market” on Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2023 as well as CBS Saturday Morning in 2024. Highlight performances of 2024 include Madison’s debut appearances at Carnegie Hall, Newport Folk Festival, Americanafest, and Austin City Limits.

All Made Up

All Made Up is the experimental pop project of musician and producer Allee Fütterer.

Born and raised in Southern California amongst the skate kids and surfer bros, her music summons her punk upbringing and blends it with the harsh reality that she’s a sensitive sweetie.

Her career as a bass player for artists such as Chappell Roan, Conan Gray, Mayer Hawthorne, Hilary Duff, Weyes Blood, and JP Saxe led her back to creating music for herself.

Her first release “Tell Me What It’s Like Up There” is a memoir of her grandmother and an account of the parallels in their life and how she found herself through the loss of a loved one.
