Write from the edge of uncertainty in an intimate Paris intensive with award-winning poet Momtaza Mehri
Paris has long nurtured fleeing writers. The city’s history as a refuge for exiles and outcasts reveals itself in fading plaques, cobbled alleyways, and rose-strewn tombstones. Personal and political crises drove many to Paris, an urbanscape of ruin and reinvention.
How do you maintain an independence of vision and thought during urgent, unpredictable times? How can we use our voices as instruments of expression, clarity, and courage? These questions persist.
In this spirit, Meditations in an Emergency is a chance to experiment and stretch across form and genre, grappling with our contemporary reality of livestreamed, algorithm-mediated crisis.
This workshop will be a generous space to reflect on your writing practice, and just as importantly, your intentions. Join us as we think and write from the edge, guided by instinct and inquiry.
